On January 29th at 2:24pm Shrewsbury Volunteers were dispatched for a reported accident with injuries on Rt. 851 near Deller Road. Heavy Rescue 61 with Chief 61 (Myers) on board responded followed by Engine 61-2. Enroute Fire Police Lt. 61-1 (Blietz) arrived and advised incoming units there is a two vehicle accident with injuries. There are fluids leaking and debris on the roadway.
Rescue 61 arrived and Chief 61 assumed Command 61. Fire department personnel from Shrewsbury investigated and found one patient with a broken ankle and one patient refusing treatment. EMS arrived (Rose EMS) and handled patient care. Shrewsbury Volunteers cleared the roadway of debris and handled removal of the spilled fluids. Traffic control was handled by Shrewsbury Fire Police.
EMS transported the patient to York Hospital and all units cleared shortly after. PSP investigated the accident.
